HR Business Partner Retail (m/f/x)

As HR Business Partner Retail at AVANTGARDE you work in a generalist way and take care of all HR topics of our business unit IQOS Retail Germany. You act as a contact person for the Recruiting & HR Operations Team, both for executives, internal and external stakeholders as well as for our customer IQOS.
  • You advise the responsible contact persons (e.g. District Retail Managers) on all personnel-related issues from recruiting to onboarding, training, conflict management to the departure of employees, also with regard to labor and social security issues
  • You support our employees at different locations in all administrative employee matters, from the preparation of contracts to onboarding and resignation
  • You are an eloquent interlocutor and know how to inspire candidates in interviews as well as to ensure the match between candidates and job requirements with the right questioning techniques
  • You are the contact person for our client for all strategic and operational HR topics
  • You are co-responsible for the clean management and maintenance of employee data, employment contracts and all relevant documents in our HR management system
  • You are the interface to payroll accounting and external service providers (e.g. law firm on the topic of labor law) and ensure smooth cooperation and are jointly responsible for HR controlling (reporting for the customer)


  • You have a degree in business administration or law with a focus on HR management/employment law or a comparable qualification
  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a consulting-intensive HR environment such as retail or (large) gastronomy and have already had contact with German labor law (especially individual labor law) and social security law
  • You have already successfully assisted in HR projects
  • You work very independently and structured, are innovative and have a distinctive hands-on mentality
  • You are business fluent in German and English
