Global Business Development Director (m/f/x)

THE ROLE

Overseeing global new business and leading AVANTGARDE London’s new business team, you will develop and implement our global new business strategy to deliver against both London and the Group’s ambitious growth plans. You will:
 
  • Be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and build a global new business pipeline.
  • Manage the promotion of AVANTGARDE’s proposition ‘Crafting Stories, Shaping Spaces, Creating fans’ and services as well as the supporting marketing collateral.
  • Report to the UK Managing Director and International Group lead.
  • Lead the preparation of new business pitches with the support from our international offices.

Understanding the Agency
 
  • Develop (with support) and lead a strategic creative approach to C-suite global prospects.
  • Be involved in the evolution of the agency positioning.

New Business Strategy
 
  • Identify relevant sector/brand targets.
  • Develop and deliver an overall new business strategy to engage with C-suite prospects in a relevant way, whether ‘cold’ or otherwise.
  • Promote the Agency through a proactive ‘sniper’ approach.
  • Actively seek out tactical opportunities to engage global prospects as they present themselves.

Pitch Management
 
  • Manage the relationship with the prospect from the initial contact through to the post-pitch analysis and handover.
  • Where appropriate take overall responsibility for the pitch, collaborating on strategic planning and creative recommendations.

Financial Responsibility
 
  • Take overall responsibility for the new business budget.
  • Establish ROI for each pitch undertaken.
  • Regularly review the optimum communications mix for reaching and then subsequent management of C-Suite prospects.
